GRAMMY Award-winning recording artist Zac Brown teams with songwriter Niko Moon and producer Ben Simonetti to craft an extraordinary new Southern pop outfit, Sir Rosevelt. The trio’s debut 11-track self-titled album arrives to all music retailers and streaming services on Friday, December 15th.
“Sir Rosevelt” is available for pre-order beginning today, joined by an instant-grat download of a brand new track, “Something ‘Bout You” co-produced by 4x GRAMMY® Award-winner Timbaland (Missy Elliott, Justin Timberlake) – and accompanied by a colorful new lyric video:
Sir Rosevelt’s debut single “Sunday Finest,” co-written with 10x GRAMMY Award-winner Pharrell Williams earlier this year, was also joined by a spectacular companion visual – WATCH HERE – directed by Diego Pernia (who previously collaborated with Brown on the acclaimed “Remedy – A Zac Brown Band Film”) and praised by Rolling Stone as “an ode to the relentless pursuit of hedonism” that “recalls the glorious opulence of The Great Gatsby’s Roaring Twenties.”
Sir Rosevelt followed the release of “Sunday Finest” with their first-ever network TV live performance on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! The appearance saw electrifying renditions of “Sunday Finest” and the upcoming album track, “Hurricane.” In addition, “Sunday Finest” was featured throughout TNT and TBS’ hugely rated coverage of the 2017 NBA All-Star Game.
Sir Rosevelt will celebrate the release of their debut self-titled album “Sir Rosevelt” with a much anticipated performance at CBS Radio’s “An Epic New Year’s Eve Weekend,” slated for Friday, December 29th at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. The show – on sale now via Ticketmaster – marks Sir Rosevelt’s first-ever U.S. live date following two prior critically-acclaimed performances earlier this year at London’s Scala and Australia’s Byron Bay Bluesfest. Additional North American live dates will be unveiled soon for 2018.
“Sir Rosevelt” sees Zac Brown (of the 3x GRAMMY Award-winning Zac Brown Band), Niko Moon and Ben Simonetti uniting as Sir Rosevelt to create a thoroughly original new sound marrying pop, dance, acoustic instrumentation, and a distinctive Southern sensibility. The trio first came together as Zac Brown Band began experimenting with new sounds and recording techniques on 2015’s chart-topping fourth album, “JEKYLL + HYDE.” Inspired by the full-throttle dynamics of electronic/dance music and the elasticity of contemporary pop, Brown teamed with his friends and longtime collaborators Niko Moon (co-writer with Brown on genre-busting, multi-format #1 hits like “Heavy Is The Head (feat. Chris Cornell)” and “Beautiful Drug”) and Nashville recording engineer Ben Simonetti (Foo Fighters, Blake Shelton) with a goal of creating something altogether original and idiosyncratic.
The result is an album that is both utterly unique and remarkably cohesive, melding disparate influences into an innovative, up-to-the-minute brand of Southern pop unlike anything else.
