Now that Jim & Andy: The Great Beyond – Featuring A Very Special, Contractually Obligated Mention of Tony Clifton documentary, about Jim Carrey’s performance as Andy Kaufman in Miloš Forman’s 1999 biopic Man on the Moon, is out on Netflix, let’s take a look back to 1975’s Saturday Night Live audition tape from Andy. Portions of his Foreign Man act were broadcast in the first season of Saturday Night Live. The Mighty Mouse number was featured in the October 11, 1975 premiere, while the joke-telling and celebrity impressions (including Elvis) were included in the November 8 broadcast that same year.
