Canadian RnB-pop powerhouse Neena Rose presses âRewindâ in new lo-fi RnB pop banger â available now! â ahead of panelist appearance at the California Copyright Conference later this month.
âIt encompasses that nostalgic feeling associated with a past relationship,â Rose muses on the track, which has seen early support from influential playlisters Stopify, Caltify MX, and more. âItâs about dwelling on the memories made with a once-special someone, and wishing for a âdo-over.ââ
Heartbreak is one of timeâs oldest tales, and Roseâs perspective serves those related mixed emotions to audiences on a sonic silver platter. âMixed feelings are inevitable result of an unexpected split,â she says. âThis song is about knowing youâve lost any chance of rekindling those same feelings, and fantasizing about ârewindingâ time before the connection was lost.â
Matters of modern romance feature predominantly in Roseâs extensive songwriting repertoire; 2018âs breakout releases âGamesâ and âCirclesâ tackled love gone awry with a contemporary edge, and were critically acclaimed by the likes of Spotifyâs New Music Fridays, Neptis, The Feels, 100FM, Inspot Music, Esydia, Noble Vybe, The Fresh Committee, and more. She has been dubbed an âamazing young talent, incredible vocalist and witty lyricistâ and a âsheer joyâ to work with by 80 Empire of Universal Music Publishing Group.
This month, Neena Rose will be the first young Canadian female artist at the California Copyright Conference in Los Angeles; she will appear at the âYoung Guns â Innovative and Thriving in the New World Music Orderâ event on Tuesday, March 19th.
Moderated by Heavy Harmony Musicâs Rhonda Bedikian, Rose will contribute to the panel-led discussion alongside Defend Music A&R exec Greg Katz and artist, composer and producer NoMBe.
