He transformed the landscape of the Canadian Music Industry by elevating not just the jazz genre but as a champion of Canadian arts and culture overall and his strong belief and support of the outstanding talent this country has to offer. He has been deeply involved with many music business associations over the years and applies the same forthright attitude and passion to his charitable activities as well.
