Today, 2X GRAMMY-nominated artist Steve Aoki, in partnership with his renowned label Dim Mak Records and artist-first platform SoundCloud, is excited to announce the #AOKIChallenge. This initiative invites SoundCloud’s creator community to upload their original tracks using the hashtag #AOKIChallenge for a chance to have their music selected and released as an official single on Dim Mak Records. The initiative provides emerging producers with a unique platform to showcase their talent and gain exposure through one of the most influential independent record labels in the world. Steve Aoki and his Dim Mak team will personally review all submissions and select one track that best aligns with the label’s cutting-edge sound. The winning track will be released as an official Dim Mak single and debut exclusively on SoundCloud.
Key Dates for the #AOKIChallenge:
- October 3: #AOKIChallenge opens for submissions.
- October 29: Final submission deadline. Aspiring producers are encouraged to submit their original tracks before this date to be considered.
During the first week of December, Steve Aoki will participate in a special recording of SoundCloud’s Sound Advice program. This episode will recap the #AOKIChallenge, highlight Dim Mak’s commitment to discovering new talent, and promote the chosen artist’s work.
