The Jim Beam National Talent Search presented by Canadian Music Week is happy to announce the 2024 winner is musician, dancer and actor Myles Erlick from Burlington, Ontario. Myles Erlick opened the 23rd Anniversary Jim Beam® INDIE Awards on June 6, 2024 at Danforth Music Hall in Toronto.
The Five National finalists of The Jim Beam® National Talent Search, including Myles Erlick, were Bad Skin (Montreal), Jaimeson Rhy (Victoria), Katelyn Lehner (Saskatoon), and Megan Soo (Toronto). The National Finalists were selected from their online submissions by a panel of handpicked Canadian industry professionals. These selected National Finalists received a paid trip to Canadian Music Week with access to Conference and Festival events PLUS the opportunity to perform in the CMW Jim Beam® Showcase in Toronto.
From captivating Ellen DeGeneres with viral YouTube covers to starring in Billy Elliot the Musical on Broadway, Myles Erlick was born to entertain. His journey spans screens, speakers and stages. Myles can be recognized across multi-media platforms starring in Disney’s hit series The Next Step, while charting on iTunes and fuelling Spotify’s official playlists with his independent music. As a songwriter and music producer he has earned a coveted JUNO nomination (2020) and JUNO win in 2023 and is also a well-known influencer creating viral music reels on Instagram and TikTok. In 2021 Myles shined as Snowboy in Spielberg’s critically acclaimed motion picture WEST SIDE STORY and most recently as antagonist Chuck Wheeler in Paramount+ feature film Snow Day. With his most recent singles setting social media ablaze, Myles’ definitive imprint in country rock n’ roll marks him as a force set to intensify the genre’s landscape. Expect an electrifying high-energy concert from Myles and The Band. A culmination of catchy original country rock with a sprinkle of party starting classics and a promise to deliver a good time.
