Wilco is gearing up to embark on their Sweet and Sour Spring 2025 Tour, bringing along Waxahatchee for a string of dates across the southern United States. The highly anticipated tour kicks off on Friday, April 25, in Fairhope, Alabama, and wraps up on Saturday, May 17, in Louisville, Kentucky.
Wilco, fresh off reissues of A Whole Love (2010) and A Ghost Is Born (2004), will showcase tracks from these expanded editions alongside material from their 2023 album Cousin and 2024’s Hot Sun Cool Shroud EP. Waxahatchee, known for their critically acclaimed Tigers Blood album (Rolling Stone’s Top 10 of 2024), will open 14 of the 17 dates, except for Fairhope, AL, and St. Petersburg, FL. Notably, Waxahatchee’s drummer is Spencer Tweedy, son of Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy, adding a family connection to the tour.
Tickets go on sale on Friday, January 17, at 10 a.m. local time. Fans can also participate in a unique song request opportunity for each show, ensuring an even more personal concert experience.
Before the tour kicks off, Jeff Tweedy will host his annual charity performances at Chicago’s Vic Theater on April 18 and 19, continuing his tradition of giving back.
In addition to the U.S. tour, Wilco will head to Brazil’s C6 Festival and Europe, performing at iconic venues like London’s Royal Albert Hall. This year, fans can also look forward to two major archival projects: an expanded three-LP edition of The Whole Love in April and a deluxe nine-LP/four-CD box set of A Ghost Is Born, out February 7.
For longtime fans and newcomers alike, this tour promises an unforgettable mix of nostalgia, family collaboration, and fresh interpretations of Wilco’s and Waxahatchee’s beloved tracks.
