Everything You Need to Know About Stainless Steel Lunch Box

By Mitch Rice

Stainless steel lunch boxes have become popular now. This type of lunch box is durable, safe, and is an eco-friendly option for storing and transporting meals.  If you’re planning to buy a stainless steel lunch box and want to learn more about it, then you’re in the right place. This article will teach you everything you need to know about stainless steel lunch boxes.

Advantages of Stainless Steel Lunch Boxes

Stainless steel lunch boxes offer a multitude of advantages compared to other materials; here are some of them:

Exceptional Durability

Stainless steel lunch boxes are renowned for their exceptional durability, thanks to the inherent strength of stainless steel. Unlike plastic containers that can easily warp or crack over time, stainless steel lunch boxes maintain their shape and integrity even after repeated use. This durability ensures that your investment in a stainless steel lunch box pays off in the long run, as it can withstand the rigors of daily use without needing frequent replacement.

Non-Toxic Material

Another significant advantage of stainless steel lunch boxes is that they are made from a non-toxic material. Unlike plastic containers that may contain harmful chemicals like BPA, phthalates, or lead, stainless steel is free from such substances. This makes stainless steel lunch boxes a safer option for storing food, especially for children and those with health concerns.

Resistance to Corrosion and Rust

Stainless steel lunch boxes are also resistant to corrosion and rust, further enhancing their longevity and safety. Even when exposed to moisture or acidic foods, stainless steel maintains its integrity, ensuring that your lunch box remains in top condition for years to come. This corrosion resistance also prevents the transfer of metallic tastes or odors to your food.

Hygienic Surface

In terms of hygiene, stainless steel lunch boxes excel due to their smooth and non-porous surface. Unlike plastic containers, which can develop scratches and grooves that harbor germs, stainless steel remains sanitary and easy to clean with minimal effort. This smooth surface inhibits the growth of bacteria and prevents food contamination, ensuring that your meals stay fresh and safe to eat.

Contribution to Environmental Sustainability

Stainless steel lunch boxes contribute to environmental sustainability by reducing the reliance on single-use plastics. By investing in a reusable lunch box, individuals can significantly decrease the amount of plastic waste generated from disposable food packaging. This helps mitigate the environmental impact on landfills and oceans, promoting a more eco-friendly approach to meal storage and transportation.

Features and Design

There are different kinds of features on stainless steel lunch boxes to meet the wants and tastes of different people.

Thermal Insulation Properties

One key feature of stainless steel lunch boxes is their thermal insulation properties. This feature allows them to maintain the temperature of your food, keeping it hot or cold for extended periods. Whether you’re commuting to work or enjoying outdoor activities, stainless steel lunch boxes help ensure that your meals remain at the desired temperature until you’re ready to eat.

Leak-Proof and Airtight Seals

Many stainless steel lunch boxes are equipped with leak-proof and airtight seals to prevent spills and leaks. These seals, often made from silicone or other food-grade materials, create a secure closure that keeps your food fresh and contained during transportation. You can be sure that your stainless steel lunch box will keep everything inside safe, whether you’re bringing soup, salad dressing, or fruit juice.

Compartments and Dividers

Stainless steel lunch boxes may feature compartments or dividers to organize and separate different types of food. This design allows for greater versatility and customization in meal preparation, catering to individual preferences and dietary needs.

Whether you prefer to keep your main dish separate from your sides or divide your snacks into different sections, stainless steel lunch boxes offer flexibility and convenience.

Maintenance and Care

Proper maintenance and care are crucial for preserving the quality and longevity of stainless steel lunch boxes. Here are the steps involved in maintaining and caring for these lunch boxes.

Cleaning Process

To clean a stainless steel lunch box, follow these simple steps:

Gentle Washing

Start by washing the lunch box with warm, soapy water using a mild detergent or dish soap. Use a soft sponge or cloth to gently scrub the surface, removing any food residue or buildup.

Avoid Abrasive Cleaners

It’s important to avoid using abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they can scratch the surface of the stainless steel. These scratches not only compromise the appearance of the lunch box but also create potential areas for bacteria to thrive.

Tackle Stubborn Stains

For stubborn stains or odors, consider soaking the lunch box in a solution of vinegar and water or baking soda and water. This natural cleaning solution helps loosen and remove residue without damaging the stainless steel. Alternatively, you can use a soft-bristled brush or sponge to gently scrub the affected areas.

Rinse Thoroughly

After cleaning, be sure to rinse the lunch box thoroughly with clean water to remove any soap residue or cleaning solution. This ensures that no residue is left behind, which could affect the taste or safety of your food.

Drying and Storage

Once the stainless steel lunch box is clean, it’s essential to dry it thoroughly to prevent moisture buildup and potential corrosion. Use a clean, dry cloth to wipe down the interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring that no water droplets remain.

After drying, store the stainless steel lunch box in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid storing it in damp or humid environments, as this can promote the growth of mold or mildew.

Level Up Your Melas with Stainless Steel Lunch Box

By understanding their features, advantages, and considerations, you can make an informed choice when selecting a lunch box that suits your needs and preferences. Make the switch to stainless steel today and enjoy fresh, delicious meals on the go while minimizing your environmental impact and promoting a healthier lifestyle.

Irish Band Performs AC/DC’s ‘Thunderstruck’ in Gaelic

TG Lurgan did a great cover of the famous AC/DC song “Thunderstruck” (“Toirneach!”) in Irish Gaelic, also known as Gaeilge. Even though the language was different, they nailed the music and singing just right.

One-Man Band Recreates The Who’s “Quadrophenia’ and ‘Tommy’ Albums And What Did YOU Do Today?

FridayNightLullaby, known for previously recreating all 43 tracks of the classic Yes song “Roundabout” solo, took on the challenge of performing every song from The Who’s iconic Quadrophenia album. He played each instrument and handled all vocals for the project. According to FridayNightLullaby, this endeavor has been a long-term commitment.

“This journey began with my cover of ‘Real Me’ in 2010 and concluded with ‘Love Reign O’er Me’ in 2024, reflecting a 14-year transformation in this video. The majority of the recording was completed over the past two years. I aimed to finish by the end of 2023 to coincide with the album’s 50th anniversary, but I needed to ensure it was perfect…”

Similar to his Quadrophenia project, covering ‘Tommy’ was a time-intensive effort.

“Recording this cover consumed nearly a year of deep engagement with the album. This involved listening to individual parts, exploring original demos, finding isolated tracks where possible, watching live performances of The Who, and culminated in my visit to the historic IBC Studios in London, where the album was originally recorded.”

Librarian of Congress Carla Hayden today named 25 recordings as audio treasures worthy of preservation for all time based on their cultural, historical or aesthetic importance in the nation’s recorded sound heritage.

The 2024 class of inductees also includes Gene Autry’s “Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” The Cars’ debut album, Perry Como’s “Catch a Falling Star” / “Magic Moments,” Juan Gabriel’s heartbreaking “Amor Eterno,” Héctor Lavoe’s salsa hit “El Cantante,” Kronos Quartet’s “Pieces of Africa,” Johnny Mathis’ “Chances Are,” Bobby McFerrin’s “Don’t Worry, Be Happy,” Patti Page’s “Tennessee Waltz,” and Bill Withers’ “Ain’t No Sunshine.”

We were thrilled to receive a record number of public nominations, and we welcome the public’s input on what we should preserve next.”

The recordings selected for the National Recording Registry bring the number of titles on the registry to 650, representing a small portion of the national library’s vast recorded sound collection of nearly 4 million items.

The latest selections named to the registry span from 1919 to 1998. They range from the recordings of the all-Black 369th U.S. Infantry Band led by James Reese Europe after World War I, to defining sounds of jazz and bluegrass, and iconic recordings from pop, dance, country, rock, rap, Latin and classical music.

“For the past 21 years the National Recording Preservation Board has provided musical expertise, historical perspective and deep knowledge of recorded sound to assist the Librarian in choosing landmark recordings to be inducted into the Library’s National Recording Registry,” said Robbin Ahrold, chair of the National Recording Preservation Board. “The board again this year is pleased to join the Librarian in highlighting influential works in our diverse sound heritage, as well as helping to spread the word on the National Recording Registry through their own social media and streaming media campaigns.”

How to Use CBN Oil: A Beginner’s Guide

By Mitch Rice

Cannabinol, known as CBN, is a chemical compound found in cannabis plants. Recently it started gaining attention for multiple benefits and its ability to cure health problems. Like CBD and CBG, CBN is also a non-psychoactive compound meaning it does not cause any intoxicating effects.

Many people confuse CBN with either CBD or THC from the cannabis plant. But you should know that the effects of each compound vary. If you are curious about how CBN works and how you can consume it for the best results, this article is for you.

We have covered everything you need to know about CBN below:

How To Consume CBN Oil?

You can consume CBN oil in different ways, but you should know that the method you choose affects the time and intensity of the effects. Here are some of the popular ways you can consume CBN.

Combining CBD and CBN

CBN and CBD both are non-intoxicating compounds and interact with the same receptors in our ECS system but have different reactions. CBD and CBN when taken together help in easing anxieties and provide relaxation more than when taken separately. CBD and CBN can also help in reducing inflammation and pain as it creates an entourage effect.

Types of Products

There are many products available in the market which are CBN-infused such as gummies, tinctures, soft gels, or vapes. CBN shows its best results when you consume products that consist of concentrated forms of pure CBN. It can also be combined with other cannabinoids safely like CBD or CBDA.

CBN in Food and Beverages

You can feel the effects of CBN by putting CBN oil in your food and drinks such as smoothies. When CBN is consumed this way, it takes longer for the effects to kick in the body as oil needs to be digested in the body first. But this method makes it easy to add CBN into your daily lifestyle.

Sublingual

The most common and effective way to consume CBN oil is by placing a few drops of CBN oil under your tongue. You just need to keep it there for 60-90 seconds before swallowing. This way oil gets absorbed directly into your bloodstream through the tiny blood vessels under your tongue and you start to feel the effects faster than other methods.

Benefits of CBN Oil

CBN oil has several therapeutic benefits which help in treating health conditions. Some main benefits of CBN oil are:

  • Sleep aid: Research shows that CBN contains some properties that help in providing better sleep and fighting insomnia. Not getting proper sleep can have negative impacts on the health and well-being of people dealing with issues related to sleep.

CBN works as a natural alternative to sleep medications, as it can provide a sense of relaxation and drowsiness without any major side effects.

  • Pain relief: CBN is also known to have some pain relieving properties, which make it useful for treating various types of pain such as chronic pain from conditions like arthritis and acute pain from injuries.

CBN interacts with receptors on the neurons that are responsible for sending pain signals to the brain, which helps in easing discomfort and pain in the body.

  • Anti-inflammatory properties: CBN has been found to have anti-inflammatory properties, which could help deal with conditions like arthritis, Crohn’s disease, and other inflammatory disorders.

Chronic inflammation can result in serious health issues when not treated properly. CBN may help reduce such inflammation and other symptoms related to such problems.

  • Antibacterial and antimicrobial effects: Some studies show that CBN may contain antibacterial and antimicrobial properties, which could make it useful in fighting certain types of infections.

It can fight against the MRSA bacteria known for causing staph infections. It also shows that MRSA bacteria show resistance to various antibiotics. Researchers say CBN has the potential for treating such infections that are difficult to cure.

How Much CBN Should You Take?

There are a few things that you should keep in mind before consuming. It is important to regulate your dose initially. You can always start slow and gradually increase it depending on factors like your weight, age, and sensitivity.

You can begin with a tiny amount, such as 2-5 milligrams (mg) of CBN oil. You can easily know how your body reacts to this amount. After taking the initial dose, focus on how you feel over the next few hours.

You can easily increase your CBN dose by 2-5 mg each time till you start feeling the desired effects such as improvement in sleep, ease in discomfort and pain, or reduction in inflammation. If you are still confused about the dosage or if you are taking any medications, it is best to consult your doctor first.

Side Effects Of CBN Oil

Generally, CBN is considered to be safe with some minor side effects but some common side effects can be experienced by CBN users.

Drowsiness

CBN is known for its calming properties that help relax the mind and in insomnia cases. But sometimes these calming properties can provide you with a feeling of drowsiness, which can impact you negatively especially during the day as it makes you sleep an extra hour during the day.

Dizziness

Some CBN users experience dizziness or lightheadedness after consuming CBN. This feeling is generally mild and CBN users experience it for a shorter period. But you should avoid it during work hours especially if you work on heavy machinery or you engage in activities that require alertness.

Changes in Appetite

CBN is used for increasing hunger due to its appetite-stimulating properties. CBN users have reported both an increase and decrease in their appetite after consuming CBN. Before you consume CBN make sure you are buying from a trusted brand like Colorado Botanicals. For best results, you can use CBN oil from Colorado Botanicals as it is effective and easily available online.

Final Words

CBN is considered to be a potentially beneficial compound found in cannabis plants. It is non-psychoactive which means it does have any intoxicating effects.

Its properties are effective and helpful in treating some problems such as chronic and acute pain, increasing hunger, and reducing inflammation and discomfort. CBN also works as a natural remedy for those dealing with poor sleep and insomnia.

If you are new to CBN and feeling confused about where to buy, you can go for Colorado Botanical’s CBN oil.

You can choose full spectrum CBN oil for best results and in case you are dealing with sleep problems you can buy Colorado Botanical’s sleep gummies. You can stay assured as all of their products are third-party lab tested ensuring quality, safety, and purity.

By Mitch Rice

Maintaining a garden is a fulfilling endeavor, but it requires the right tools to keep it looking its best. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just starting, having the right power tools can make a difference in your gardening experience. In this guide, you will discover the 7 must-have power tools that every gardener should consider adding to their arsenal.

1. Lawn Mower

A lawn mower is a must-have tool for any gardener with a grassy yard. There are several types of lawnmowers to choose from, including push mowers, self-propelled mowers, and riding mowers.

Push mowers are manually operated and are suitable for smaller yards. Self-propelled mowers have a built-in propulsion system that makes mowing easier while riding mowers are ideal for large lawns and offer the comfort of sitting while mowing.

When selecting a lawn mower, consider features such as cutting width, height adjustment, and mulching capabilities. Proper maintenance, including regular blade sharpening and oil changes, will help prolong the life of your lawn mower.

2. Hedge Trimmer

Keeping hedges and shrubs neatly trimmed is essential for maintaining a tidy garden. Hedge trimmers come in electric and gas-powered varieties, each with its own advantages.

Electric hedge trimmers are lightweight and easy to maneuver, making them suitable for smaller tasks. Gas-powered hedge trimmers offer more power and are better suited for larger hedges and thicker branches.

When choosing a hedge trimmer, consider factors such as blade types and sizes. Double-sided blades are ideal for shaping hedges, while single-sided blades are better for cutting thicker branches.

Always prioritize safety when using hedge trimmers, wearing protective gear such as gloves and safety goggles, and following proper operating procedures.

3. Chainsaw

For larger tree maintenance tasks such as pruning and cutting, a chainsaw is indispensable. Chainsaws come in electric, cordless, and gas-powered varieties, each with its own strengths.

Electric chainsaws are lightweight and easy to start, making them suitable for smaller jobs. Cordless chainsaws offer the convenience of mobility without the need for a cord or gasoline. Gas-powered chainsaws are more powerful and are better suited for heavy-duty tasks.

When selecting a chainsaw, consider factors such as cutting capacity and bar length. Smaller chainsaws are ideal for pruning branches, while larger ones are better suited for felling trees.

Safety should always be a top priority when using a chainsaw, so be sure to wear protective gear and follow proper operating procedures.

4. Leaf Blower

Keeping your garden free of leaves and debris is essential for maintaining its appearance and health. Leaf blowers come in handheld, backpack, and walk-behind varieties, each with its own advantages.

Handheld leaf blowers are lightweight and easy to use, making them suitable for smaller tasks. Backpack leaf blowers offer more power and are better suited for larger yards. Walk-behind leaf blowers are ideal for clearing larger areas quickly and efficiently.

When choosing a leaf blower, consider factors such as air speed and volume. Higher air speed and volume ratings indicate greater blowing power, making it easier to clear debris.

Electric and battery-powered leaf blowers are eco-friendly alternatives to gas-powered models, producing fewer emissions and less noise pollution.

5. String Trimmer

String trimmers, also known as weed eaters or weed whackers, are essential for maintaining the edges of your lawn and trimming grass in tight spaces. They come in gas-powered and electric varieties, each with its own advantages.

Gas-powered string trimmers offer more power and are better suited for larger yards. Electric string trimmers are lightweight and easy to use, making them suitable for smaller tasks.

When selecting a string trimmer, consider factors such as trimming line options and versatility. Different types of trimming lines are available for various tasks, such as edging, trimming, and brush cutting.

String trimmers can also be equipped with attachments for additional functionality, such as edging guides and brush-cutting blades.

6. Pressure Washer

A pressure washer is a versatile tool for cleaning outdoor surfaces such as patios, decks, and garden furniture. Pressure washers come in electric and gas-powered varieties, each with its own strengths.

Electric pressure washers are lightweight and easy to use, making them suitable for smaller tasks. Gas-powered pressure washers offer more power and are better suited for heavy-duty cleaning.

When selecting a pressure washer, consider factors such as cleaning power and safety features. Pressure washers are rated by PSI (pounds per square inch) and GPM (gallons per minute), which indicate their cleaning power.

Always follow safety precautions when using a pressure washer, including wearing protective gear and using the appropriate nozzle and pressure settings for the task at hand.

7. Cultivator

A cultivator is a valuable tool for preparing soil for planting and controlling weeds. Cultivators come in handheld and walk-behind varieties, each with its own advantages.

Handheld cultivators are lightweight and easy to use, making them suitable for smaller gardens. Walk-behind cultivators offer more power and are better suited for larger plots of land.

When selecting a cultivator, consider factors such as garden cultivator vs. tiller and size and power considerations. Cultivators are ideal for breaking up soil and mixing in amendments, while tillers are better suited for larger-scale soil preparation.

Proper maintenance, including cleaning and oiling, will help prolong the life of your cultivator and ensure optimal performance.

Dashboard Confessional Announces Fall Tour 2024

Today, Dashboard Confessional, announced their Fall Tour 2024 featuring special guests BOYS LIKE GIRLS and Taylor Acorn. Produced by Live Nation, the 28-city tour kicks off on September 10 at Stone Pony Summer Stage in Asbury Park, NJ making stops across the U.S. in New York, Los Angeles, Houston and more before wrapping up in Irving, TX at The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory on October 27.

Initially founded as an acoustic solo project by singer-songwriter/guitarist Chris Carrabba, Dashboard Confessional stands tall at the vanguard of an entire musical scene, adored for its groundbreaking sound and respected for its unwavering candor. Dashboard Confessional made an immediate impact with 2000’s The Swiss Army Romance, earning the Florida-based Carrabba applause and a passionate fan following for his intimate and intensely heartfelt songcraft. Carrabba expanded Dashboard Confessional into a full-fledged band with the following year’s RIAA Gold-certified The Places You Have Come to Fear the Most. The album proved a national breakthrough, fueled by seemingly nonstop touring as well as the now-classic hit single, “Screaming Infidelities,” the companion video for which received the influential MTV2 Award at the 2002 MTV Video Music Awards. Dashboard Confessional was suddenly a sensation, with high profile late night TV appearances and a string of increasingly bigger headline tours. 2002’s MTV Unplugged 2.0 furthered the band’s rising popularity, garnering them their first RIAA Platinum certification and first #1 album on Billboard’s “Heatseekers” and “Top Independent Albums” charts. Dashboard Confessional ascended even higher with 2003’s A Mark, a Mission, a Brand, a Scar. The album – which made a top 3 debut on the overall Billboard 200 – saw Carrabba developing his singular sound with more expansive arrangements that earned praise from such outlets as Rolling Stone, which hailed it as “easily the toughest, most assured music Carrabba’s ever made, summing up the vulnerable charisma that has made him a cult idol for fans who crave the kind of emotional realness that has totally disappeared from the mainstream-rock assembly line.”

With the wind at his back, Carrabba drove Dashboard Confessional through a series of chart-topping and critically acclaimed studio albums, soundtrack contributions, festival appearances, and sold-out headline tours. The band’s legacy was explored on a number of deluxe editions, re-recordings, and career-spanning greatest hits collection, 2020’s The Best Ones of The Best Ones. But after two extraordinary decades, Dashboard Confessional almost came to a screeching halt following Carrabba’s near-fatal motorcycle accident in the terrible summer of 2020, leaving him unsure of his band’s future. Thankfully, Dashboard Confessional’s ninth studio album, 2022’s All The Truth That I Can Tell, proved among their finest yet, both as cathartic achievement of Carrabba’s vision and a vital burst of artistic clarity. The band celebrated with multiple tours (including a hugely successful co-headline runs with Jimmy Eat World, Andrew McMahon In The Wilderness, and Counting Crows), global live streaming events, and top-billed performances at such festivals as Las Vegas, NV’s first-ever When We Were Young. The summer of 2024 now sees Carrabba and Dashboard Confessional continuing their unstoppable calling with a fresh round of ceaseless roadwork, with upcoming highlights including the eagerly awaited “Once More with Feeling(s) The Dashboard Confessional Emo Superjam” at Manchester, TN’s Bonnaroo and a number of headline festival performances culminating in a triumphant return to When We Were Young for a full-album performance of 2006’s beloved fourth studio album, Dusk and Summer.
