Beats 1, Apple’s Radio Station, Is A Hit — The Start Of A Digital Revolution?

Beats 1, the free radio station built into the Apple Music app, has turned out to be a surprise hit.

The tech community has been heaping praise on Beats 1. Computerworldlauded the “surprising genius” of “an always-there global shared content experience.” The Next Web called it “exactly what radio should be.” AdAgeproposed using the word “visionary” for Beats 1. It’s surprising that so much applause is showering a live, personality-driven online radio station that takes a page (maybe two) from SiriusXM’s playbook and expands it globally.

What Your Tears Look Like Under A Microscope

We all need to cry sometimes, scientifically tears are divided into three different types based on their origin. Basal tears, reflex tears or emotional tears. We are all familiar with these ways of crying, but how do they look microscopically? Is there any difference? Science says that every tear has a different viscosity and composition. All tears contain a variety of biological substances including oils, antibodies and enzymes suspended in salt water.

The project “Imaginarium Of Tears” is a series of micrographs, that shows the hidden beauty behind a tear. Tears are often seen as a weakness and therefore not always accepted in our daily life. However, a tear can also be a beautiful thing. By capturing these tears I want to show you, that your “weakness” can also result in something very beautiful.
